Exhaust wraps help to retain heat in your exhaust system, which reduces radiant heat damage. By wrapping the exhaust system it maintains hotter exhaust gases, improves performance of diesel particulate filters in heavy duty applications, decreases the density, and allows the exhaust gas to exit the system faster. Heatshield Products is the only insulation company that offers two grades of exhaust and header wraps: standard and premium. Both grades withstand 1200°F continuous and 2000°F intermittent. Our standard quality wrap is available with regular or black "Vermiculite" coating and our premium wrap has a special heat coating which allows them to take 1200°F continuous. Exhaust wrap can be fastened with Thermal-Tie, hose clamps, or wire.
