This gives an extra layer of thermal protection for composite wood decks and temperature sensitive coatings on patios. These shield will even work to protect your grass both synthetic and living from fire pit heat damage.

Our proprietary Lava Shield layer is both non-flammable and reflects some heat upward and outward diverting more thermal energy where it is wanted. Lava Shield is made from crushed volcanic rock, it is UV, chemical and acid resistant. Deck Armor’s base layers is a traditional silicone coated fiberglass. This is ideal for longevity and will not stain surfaces even after it has been heat cycled.
