Keep the cab of your truck or tier 4 emissions vehicle cool by reflecting the heat away with our proprietary HD Sticky Shield™. This powerful high temperature insulation is made from a 1/8” dense fiberglass layer topped with 0.003” layer of thick aluminum. The aluminum surface provides superior resistance to the weather and effortless cleaning on-the-go.
As proven in our rigorous field and race-track testing, this heavy-duty adhesive heat shield can withstand temperatures up to 1100°F continuous and 2000°F intermittent. It is capable of reflecting up to 90% of radiant heat when installed on surfaces at least 1” away from a heat source.
Making the Most of Your HD Sticky Heat Shield™
To protect your diesel particulate filter (DPF) and keep your driver’s compartment cool, peel and stick this heavy-duty adhesive heat shield to the following surfaces UNDER the vehicle after cleaning thoroughly with a degreaser and isopropyl alcohol:
- Floor Pan
- Firewall
- Transmission Tunnel
Please note that this high temperature insulation is not designed for use under the carpet or on surfaces made from unfinished fiberglass or carbon. It can, however, be used safely in tight spaces with less than 1” of airspace but will not shield as much radiant heat.
Installation and Repair Tips
To install this heavy-duty high temperature insulation and repair damage quickly and easily, we recommend our rugged HD heat shield tape. Made from aluminum, our heavy-duty heat shield tapes are perfect for sealing the seams between multiple shields and can be applied around the edge of your HD Stick Shield shield—making it resistant to pressure washing once installed.

Q. Do I need tin snips to cut HP Sticky Shield
A. No, Sticky shield is cut easily with a pair of heavy duty scissors or utility knife. Tin snips will actually struggle with cutting the insulation on the sticky shield.
Q. Why don't you recommend HP Sticky Shield for rough unfinished fiberglass or carbon?
A. Self adhesives are not capable of filling in the small gaps, valleys and indentations of unfinished non smooth surfaces. This significantly reduces the performance of the adhesive backing. Spray adhesives are more capable of filling in these surface imperfections.
Q. Can I screw HP Sticky Shield into place?
A. Yes you can, if you want to add a screw or rivet in addition to the adhesive backing it is okay to do so. We just recommend using a large head rivet or fender washer.
