Use HP Thermal Sleeve™ as a protective thermal barrier on your marine vessel to protect wires, fuel lines, brake lines, battery cables, EGR tubes and more. The special weave of HP Thermal Sleeve™ allows it to expand over plugs and fittings during installation. Thermal sleeves reduce radiant heat transfer and dissipate heat. Capable of withstanding 1,000 degrees F of continuous heat, these insulation wraps are ideal for protecting components that are very close to an exhaust system. Fasten using Thermal-Tie™, Cool Foil Tape™ or hose clamps.


HP Thermal Sleeving Installation Tips:

  • To expand ID of sleeve, bunch or shrink the overall length of sleeve
  • To decrease ID stretch overall length
  • Secure ends of sleeve with Thermal-Tie, clamp, wire, or high temp electrical tape

PRO TIP - Spray the end of the sleeve with white exhaust paint to prevent fraying.

Q. Will the HP Thermal Sleeve burn?

A. No, HP Thermal Sleeve is made from a noncombustible fiberglass, even if surrounding fluids combust, the sleeve will not burn, and whatever is inside it will not burn.


Q. How do I get the sleeve to expand over fittings and terminals?

A. Compress or “bunch” the sleeve length wise, and stretch the opening of the sleeve then slide over. It may also help to coat fitting or terminal with silicone or dry graphite spray before sliding over. To decrease the id of sleeve after it slides over fitting/terminal pull on both ends of the sleeve to stretch the length.
