Mil-Spec Automotive Heatshield Armor is an easily configurable exhaust heat insulation system. Capable of reducing radiant heat from exhaust by as much as 70% it can easily reduce the thermal signature of your land system craft. This vehicle heat shield offers superior heat reduction to an all metal exhaust blanket, because there is not hot side to cold side heat conduction through the metal touching each other. In addition to its excellent insulation capability, it is also an in-service reparable item. The outer armor layer can easily be patched with one of our replacement weld tapes we offer. Capable of withstanding 1800F continuous, it can handle anything you can throw at it. Available in thickness of 1/2" and 1" for severe thermal reduction.

Guide for calculator usage:

All fractions should be in decimal form, for example:

  • 1/8 should be 0.125
  • 1/4 should be 0.250
  • 1/2 should be 0.500
  • 3/4 should be 0.750
  • 7/8 should be 0.875

SELECT ARMOR THICKNESS:

1/4" is reccomended for naturally aspirated automotive applications and powersports. 1/2" thickness is recommended for all forced induction automotive, heavy duty, genset and industrial applications.
