Motorcycle Heat Shielding Tape

Designed to withstand temperatures of up to 1100°F continuous, 2000°F intermittent, and 500°F direct contact, this heat shielding tape reflects up to 90% of radiant heat away from sensitive components such as wires, lines, intake pipes, cables, and fuel hoses.
With its durable cloth construction and aluminum finish, our Thermaflect Tape can be used to easily insulate components without the need for disassembly. It can also be used as a heat shield tape to hold other thermal insulation in place. Either way, it’s a rugged and long-lasting motorcycle heat shielding tape that is perfect as an on-the-go heat protection solution.
Getting the Most out of Your Heat Shield Tape
When installing our heat shielding tape on your fuel lines, brake lines, and wire looms, prevent leaks and ensure effective adhesion by cleaning the surface thoroughly first. For best results, we recommend rubbing any plastic intakes or airboxes twice over with isopropyl alcohol after cleaning to remove any leftover residue that might affect the ability of our Thermaflect Tape to stick properly.
After cleaning, cut the tape to the right size with a pair of regular scissors, peel off the adhesive backing, and wind it tightly around the components you want to protect. Allow at least 1 inch of airspace between the tape and heat-generating components and avoid applying it to any rough or unfinished fiberglass applications.

Q. Why don't you recommend Thermaflect Tape for rough fiberglass?
A. Peel and stick adhesives do not bond well the the inconsistent surfaces, they will not fill in the pits and valleys like spray adhesives would.
