Fire Shield Sleeve provides thermal and physical protection with its rugged silicone covering. Starting with braided fiberglass yarns in a flexible substrate, this thermal heat shield is then coated with a high grade silicone rubber. This rugged silicone coating makes the Fire Shield Sleeve resistant to most chemicals including hydraulic fluids, oils, and fuels. The coating also makes it resistant to abrasion and fraying. In addition the rugged silicone coating makes this heat shield sleeve ideal for protecting welding lines and cables. Don’t be afraid of the bundle, in this case Fire Shield Sleeve allows "bundling" of wires, hoses, and cables. This sleeve is designed to reduce and dissipate heat and works great for areas where harsh environments exist that require heat shield insulation. Pretty easy, just cut to length!

Pro Tip: Compress or “bunch” the sleeve length wise, and stretch the opening of the sleeve then slide over. It may also help to coat fitting or terminal with silicone or dry graphite spray before sliding over. To decrease the id of sleeve after it slides over fitting/terminal pull on both ends of the sleeve to stretch the length.
